Time line

See how it all began with a home-made weighted duvet for the sleep universe that it is today.
We are now proud to have helped more than 10,000 toddlers sleep better.

July 2017

Welcome to the world

We become parents to Xander, who gets a bit of a rough start in life. This results in four months of crying (which is quickly labeled as colic) and minimal sleep.

January 2018

"I can't do it anymore"

After 6 months in zombie land, Sara gets the idea for a gravity mattress. Out of desperation, the baby-friendly weighted quilt is born, which she sews from rice and an old duvet cover on a tired Sunday afternoon. When Xander is tucked in with the duvet that evening, a calmness falls over him that we have not experienced before.

April 2018

We must then help others!

The home-sewn weighted quilt is still widely used. Sure enough, the bedroom starts to smell like rice porridge, but Xander is sleeping better than he ever has. After 3 months it strikes us that there must be other families in the same boat who could benefit from such a duvet.

June 2018

IT WORKS!

We test the gravity mattress on tired families with sleep challenges, and the feedback is absolutely amazing and touching. We have a product that works!

February 2020

We are online!

After two years of development, the first weighted duvets are in stock at home in the basement, and we can finally open the webshop under the name Babydynen.

March 2020

Corona Lockdown

We manage to sell 11 weighted duvets before large parts of the country are shut down. Sales stop completely, and we are forced to turn off the ads so that we can save the minimal marketing budget we have for better times.

July 2020

NOW it has to be!

The country is slowly opening up again and we are kick-starting our sales with a 2nd sorting offer. We have burned the teddies at a sewing studio which did not deliver the agreed quality. Off off.

October 2020

World-class textiles

We have searched the market thinly to find the very best product by the meter, and now we can finally launch the weighted duvet in the fantastic cotton fabric that we are known for to this day. It's a huge milestone!.

Spring 2021

"I don't want to sit down anymore, mother"

The ambition to be Danish-produced means that we juggle production between several small Danish sewing studios. This also means that we spend many hours on the road delivering material and picking up goods.

June 2021

We get in touch with a Danish-owned sewing studio

We must recognize that it is no longer sustainable with our Danish set-up. The demand for our weighted duvets is simply too great. We therefore come into contact with a sewing studio in Poland, and the compromise is to move the production to a Danish-owned sewing studio in Poland. It is a HUGE workload that is now being eased.

November 2021

Now we're doing it!

Now we're doing it! We invest the entire store and both work full-time in the company. It is with equal parts nervousness and excitement that we drop the career path to follow our dream.

December 2021

We are changing our name

Our weighted duvet is slowly starting to gain traction in Danish homes and our ambitions are getting bigger. The baby quilt can no longer keep up with our dreams, and we change our name to Hush Little One – a name we LOVE and still cringe at to this day.

January 2022

We can also do more than weighted duvets

We are launching our duvet cover and Mulitnest, and the desire to create a universe of products for safe sleep burns more than ever!

June 2022

"What do we do?"

The first half of 2022 is not going as expected. The war in Ukraine and inflation make e-commerce stores suffer - and so do we. Violent. We can barely pay our bills, and thanks to the world's best suppliers, we get by.

August 2022

"Are we bought or sold"?

In August, we pitch in Løvens Hule and get a "yes" from Anne Stampe. The following four months pass with a long due diligence process, where we have no idea whether we have been bought or sold. These are some really difficult months of uncertainty and secrecy.

November 2022

"It's just not us".

The company has so much growing pains that it is time to move the warehouse out of the basement and let others send packages. Nicolaj is not entirely comfortable handing over that responsibility, and it is not without challenges either. After a few months, we decide to abandon the logistics center. It becomes too impersonal for us. Now the sewing room is allowed to handle the task.

December 2022

YEEEEESS!!!

It worked! In December, we can FINALLY celebrate that Anne Stampe has invested in Hush Little One and we've even got another competent investor on the team, namely Louise Skarby. We are not for shooting through! Now we get busy!

January 2023

"Think we are employers"

We start the year by welcoming Natalija to the Hush Family. Natalija must support the customer service part so that Sara can free up some time for, among other things, product development.

March 2023

LION'S CAVE BABY!

The wait has been unbearable and it is a huge redemption when we finally roll across the screen as the last participants of the season in Løvens Hule. The support we receive from the Danes after the program is completely overwhelming, and the following month we are SO busy that everything is still a bit foggy.

June 2023

Gertrud the huggable goose

After 10 months of product development, we can finally launch Gertrud the Cuddle Goose, which quickly wins the hearts of our customers.
